@PsychedelicShot Also, it would be hard to do clean vocals because of the nature of the music. Alot of death metal (especially brutal death) is highly chromatic, making it hard to add an effective clean vocal line, due to the lack of happy harmonies and such. Plus, growls/gurgles/screams add to the brutality!

It's worth mentioning seeing as this argument is on like every one of the 4 mill death metal track uploads from old Swededeath right up to modern br00tal DM. The vocal approach in death metal is instrumental, percussive and part of the rhythm section, it's not there to highlight the vocalists ability at karaoke. Clean vocals in death metal would take away an element of the rhythm section. Its also not something anyone could do, most people can't hit the right depth let alone doing it for an set.

@Necropedophile90 I guess, but I'm entitled to my opinion, and really, those are just HORRIBLE vocals, not exactly a skill if you ask me. But you won't ask me, like i said, pretty good music, fucking stupid vocals, there are more skillful and interesting ways to be "brutal" than grunting and gurgling for ten minutes
