*On this day:**At 14th April of 1986, Depeche Mode released their hit single "A Question of Lust".*Originally a product of Britain's new romantic movement, Depeche Mode went on to become the quintessential electro-pop band of the 1980s. One of the first acts to establish a musical identity based completely around the use of synthesizers, they began their existence as a bouncy dance-pop outfit but gradually developed a darker, more dramatic sound that ultimately positioned them as one of the most successful alternative bands of their era. Released in 1986, the atmospheric "Black Celebration" continued the trend toward grim melancholy and further established the group as a commercial force. The album includes the singles :"Stripped", "A Question of Time" and "A Question of Lust".Martin Gore wrote this song for his girlfriend, who was experiencing a lot of jealousy/insecurity about him being away on tour. The temptations he experiences while on tour are a question of lust, and their relationship is a question of trust - does she trust him enough to not let what they've built up crumble to dust ? The last part sums it up - he'd "rather be home" but going on tour is part of being in one of the biggest bands in the world.#DepecheMode #80sMusic#NewWave #SynthPop#ElectronicMusic #Music #80sOS4L

Feliz aniversario!!
