Dennis wrote this song for his wife of over 40 years. Most of his songs he wrote were about his wife.

Personally i think Tommy Shaw was always jealous of Dennis. He wishes that on his best day he could sound as good as DDY.

This is not all your problem, but my computer isn't loading the video and it's stopping me from listening to this fucking exhilarating masterpiece.

@19dave64 I'd have to disagree, I thought Cyclorama was an excellent cd front to back, Brave cd top songs were this this one and everything is cool, I do miss Dennis, but Live Styx is better now, nothing can compare to the late 70's early 80's albums though

To me, this is a classic Styx ballad. I've been listening to them since the early 70s (basically grew up with them) and while this isn't "Lady", the emotion in here is fabulous! Has anyone seen One with Everything? (I think that's the name of it). It's a concert with a youth orchestra. Outstanding! A MUST HAVE for any deep Styx fan!

I agree with on BNW being disappointing to me. Dennis' songs were standard STYX type songs. JY and Tommy let me down on the album. With all the great songs they've written for STYX in the past I would've thought they could do better. Cyclorama was also a disappointment for me. Other than These Are The TImes, which sounds like a classic STYX song. The rest wasn't very good. But I'm still a fan and can understand JY and Tommy wanting to simplify things to plain rock and roll. .

i wasn't meaning you specifically. i was talking about the amount of people who think that dennis was the one who ruined styx. the way i see it, dennis never deserved to be treated the way he was by the other guys. he set the base of what styx was. even though, he'll always be a part of styx no matter what the other guys think.

I never hated the guy. He's an incredible talent with one of the best voices anywhere. I kind of feel sorry for him. His own need to bee in total control and not trusting the opinions of the other guys in the band alienated him from the rest of STYX. He wants everything over the top theatre and they want to be just want to be a rock band. It's too bad because they made great music together.
