An early song from Dennis Brown (around 1972) he would have been about 15.

A lovely song, with Dennis' smooth rich voice shining through.

In my opinion, Dennis should never be forgotten, for his part in the rise of lovers rock music.

"Give Me Time" has different meanings to women in different countries, I have learned....Beware. This is a classic. I only knew the Van McCoy cover until now! Love Dennis Brown.

I remember seeing DB for the first time in 1974. He appeared at Brixton Town Hall, London. An unforgettable experience! Truly missed!

pretty sure this is the exact same backing track Derrick Harriott used for his own version of the same song, he did a couple of tunes with Dennis Brown like "Concentration" and "He Can't Spell" in '72 before DB linked up with Niney as producer.song was written by Van McCoy & Joe Cobb in 1972, was a minor hit in US on Buddah Records.
