Thoughts like scatered leaves slowed at mid-fall into the streems of fast running rivers.

I am going with a Facebook, Twitter, then G+ make-up tonight, at least for awhile on the eve of the Independence day celebrated on the 4th of July in America! While wanting to not be complex which is not easy for me to do and make sense, I instead will take the advice of people like JOE PASS and OSCAR PETERSON and speak simply and with a logical sequential manner so you may proceed like music does only to be lost "in the moment" which are 3 words Neil Young uses quite a bit and his book, "SHAKEY" , well his authorized account of his life, was finally released after Neil's daughter was emancipated because some of the things were truthful and as a Dad with other children, he did not want his young daughter to read that book so he spent big money to hold the author off legally, for a bit -(fact.)

Is it true that Crosby was cracked out of his mind at this concert? I read "Long Time Gone" and in 1983 wasn't he barely going a few hours without freebasing? Wouldn't he leave stage to get high?

I love the child who steers this riverboat but lately he's crazy for the deed....

I never heard this rendition of Delta before. Croz has such an incredible feel for music- I always loved his slow songs. He really is better live than in the studio. 'Digger' is right, he nailed 'Delta' here. I'd love to see him in concert again.

Best voice I''ve ever heard...and then he combines it with Nashs' oo-er. and then Stills....dear me.If I wasn't an agnostic, this'd be the welcome at St Peters;' wossername that might be heaven.....Dave and Steve on Martins, Graham just being nashy. Loved this noise for 40 years now

@PatrickHansbury I think you read too many tabloids. I was at that show, 3rd row and had a good view of everything. Steven Stills had his little hissy fit about the sound system (justified) but I never saw David leave the stage once. McDs & freebasing.... you're just an ass looking to stir sh*t. This man in an amazing artist and you know it. I'm almost ashamed to waste words on your assenine commment. BTW TO ANY THAT CARE..... CROSBY NASH ARE TOURING :) i'll be there, how 'bout you?

@buddhamurphy The man is a god. He's helped me through the best and worst of times, though he doesn't know it. He'll live forever.

Saw them last night at the Royal Albert Hall - Crosby still in fantastic voice and very much with us. He described this as 'the song that saved him...' It's saved me too, on more than one occasion. An inspiration for us all.

Trying to remember how the Cros described himself during this show....think he said he looked like Dracula or something to that effect. This was at the pinnacle of his drug addiction...he talked about this show in his book, how he had to have a crack pipe ready and waiting for him on the side of the stage and how he would dash off every other number, have a hit then come back to the mike...that was the only way he was able to play an entire show.

This arrangement doesn't have the same resonance as Crosby performing it acoustically, the over orchestration mekes the song needlessly complicates, still got to love Crosby in his peak.
