First time I saw him I had just moved to Dallas. Had gone to the Brewery to see Bugs Henderson. It was Bugs Bday and three guys stopped by to say Happy Birthday and sit in for awhile. The 3 guys, Delbert,SRV, and Jimmy Vaghun. Had never heard of anyone of that stage. What a night became an instant fan of everyone of them including Bugs.

Delbert is the best there is. The most underrated singer/songwriter, except by anyone who knows music, including every rock and country musician in the world. He's revered and rightfully so. I can't count how many of his tunes I love. My band does Giving it up for your love, and we're looking at this one, Squeeze Me In and Living it Down. He's so clever and natural. And his bands! Love this man.

Delbert is The Keeper of the Flame! First saw him at the Soap Creek Saloon when it was still on Red bud trail> A true road house warrior.
