I read somewhere that Tom Petty was on the way to ask Del if he would join The Travelling Wilburys sometime after Roy Orbison died. Apparently, he heard on the car radio that Del had died. Don't know if that's true but makes you wonder what sort of music could have been created. I was a great fan of Del's music from when I was around 15 years old. When I listen to his songs it's like getting in a time machine.
