I think punk rockers sometimes have such a love for their music and their scene that they will become very defensive of it. Hence calling out on poseurs and fashion punks. I was once like this. This isn't a bad thing. We need to keep the scene pure But time is the ultimate test. Some good friends of mine who claimed "punk 4 life" now really have no interest in it at all. I stopped trying to spot out poseurs because I know it's just a matter of time before they hop another bandwagon.

Fashion punk = somebody who doesn't listen to punk or has really nothing to do with it whatsoever and yet they dress like they do. Defiance is far from that. The stupid 16 year chick who has no identity so decides to rip off of punk so she can impress the world with her rebel boots and her anarchy shirt is the fashion punks we need to throw the message out to. We live in a world where you can become a "rebel" @ your local mall.
