Hey Folks - Guess what? High N Dry is without question THE best hard rock album ever produced period. I'm 48, it's my welI-considered opinion having listened to rock and hard rock for 38 of those years. Every song on this monster album is just a devastator. Steve Clarke is on fire - Joe Elliot never sounded better - every song is perfect. Steam'n Steve Clark God rest his tortured soul . . . It just does not get better than this album folks. Yes, I am still a fan (mainly because of the new concert DVD which features an "extras" tribute to the glory days (Ded Flatbird set anyone?) Yes it SMOKES ! . I guess that DVD and that set proved to me finally that they get it - the early 80's fans who loved the first three HARD ROCK albums made them who they are today - a total world wide band without peer. Lep fan forever. Saw them with Kiss last year. Yeah - Kiss got blown off the stage.

This was when Def Leopard Rocked. I wouldn't let my copy of High N Dry get within a 100 feet of that piece of crap Hysteria.

This was back when DL truly rocked. Pyromania had a couple of harder edged songs, but Hysteria was watered down crap. Sold great, but that was because it was watered down crap. High and Dry was not top 40 material. Too bad they lost this sound.
