Ritchie had a flavour he added to the song. Sounds like a cover.Still, not bad. But I will stick to the original.

Jimi Hendrix was the black Blackmore...Listen to In Rock.... Blackmore was as influencial as any of that time...and wrote the rift which is legend...Smoke on the Water......Effect peddles, all the tricks, stratocaster mastered, unique guitar sound....

I do prefer Blackmore over Morse (his style and guitar sound), but band is healthier and having fun without him. Love Jon Lord, but Don Airey has virtually identical style and sound. Could not be better fit/replacement.

Get off of someone's balls! Blackmore was the original. I suppose you can name a replacement for EVH as well, correct? A better Jimmy Page or Hendrix? I remember when this LP came out way back then. Yeah, I'm that old and remember all of the bands that made the music only to be replaced by others who put those bands on their resume.

Better than Blackmore...I doubt even Morse would agree with that. In fact I know he wouldn't. Please listen to the original studio version, and it it will be painfully obvious Blackmore was and always be the best guitar player for Deep Purple. That's why Purple lives on..everyone wants to give it a try...even Satriani admitted he couldn't fill the boots.

No, it's absolutely blinding!!! And you know what? If Blackmore played guitar on this one you would hail it as the next best thing to the second coming of Jesus! But I guess you've got your tiny head to far up Blackmores ass to even notice.... Purple are better today than the 80s Purple ever were, Blackmore or no Blackmore! I'm a Blackmore diehard, but after the '84ish reunion he was....bored! He was way better doing his thing in the 90s era Rainbow. SIUA is by far their best record....IMO!!!!

I saw them playing in Curitiba - Brazil this tour... Man... Incredible... I will never forget... Steve a little bit shy but at the same time amazing with Roger playing Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming on acoustic guitar... Jon made a song in the middle of the show that was something new and incredible as well... Gillan's voice was great! He sounds like in the Powerhouse LP! And what can I say about Paice? Well... I took his drumsticks and a bunch of people want to kill me! auahaua! Perfect Show!

Better than any live version with Blackmore......but.....ehrrr...Blackmore did refuse to do this one as well, didn't he??? If it weren't for Morse we wouldn't have heard this one live, or When A Blind Man Cries, Pictures Of Home, Mary Long, Hard Lovin' Man, Living Wreck, Bloodsucker, Fireball, No One Came, The Concerto etc. etc. You may not like Morse, but he brought only good things to a band in need of only good things!
