This is not 1969. Glover and Gillian did not join the band until Purple made their fourth album, the one Live with the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Rod Evans was singer and Nicky Simper bassist on their first three LP's.

They fired Evans for being clearly uninterested in Deep Purple, not for vocal style. They hired Glover as proper songwriter and Gillan to replace Evans because Gillan used to sing exactly like Evans those days. Gillan learned to shout later when they wanted him to sing like Rob Tyner.

No se que conciertos de Zeppelin has escuchado, pero por lo que yo he oido Plant no tenia problemas de ningun tipo para cantar mas de tres horas si hacia falta, porque los conciertos de Led Zeppelin siempre fueron kilometricos. Lo de que si uno era mas elegante que otro pues ya va por gustos, pero Gillan no tenia mas potencia de voz ni mas registro que el primer Robert Plant ni loco
