Fireball è il quinto album della band britannica Deep Purple. Uscito nel 1971, è il secondo a presentare la formazione classica del gruppo.

I often wondered about the double.kick.thing myself and later found out that fireball was one of few, out of I don't know.how many others, to feature the double kick drum. He uses a double pedal nowadays though. It's a shame they weren't invented when Fireball was released

Ian Paice...what a machine. How many songs do you know that keep a beat of that magnitude for the entire song? He makes it look like a cakewalk & doesn't miss a beat!

The guy behind the camera was an idiot. He points at the drummer during the bass solo, and then points at the bassist during the keyboard solo. I want the see the person playing the part, not somebody else.

It was odd to see them add the additional kick just for the song. I'm surprised that he didn't just build his kit around having the 2 kicks, because he was really good at it. That appears to the be the only song that he ever played that way. Nobody back then was doing forward double bass in that manner. Yes, people like Ginger Baker, Keith Moon, and Neil Smith had 2 kick drums, but they didn't use it to that extent. Ian was extremely underrated back then, and was probably the best rock drummer of that time period.
