My guess would be its because Blackmores material is vastly superior to most of the MK Morse material?Much as I like Steves work with DP and admire him for the great guitarist that he is, Blackmore is an absolute genius and he and Jon Lord were Deep Purple!!! Steve came in and did a fine job but this particular tour was the last truly great DP tour things have gone stale gradually since then to the point where DP have almost become boring which is a thing I never thought i would say about DP!!
