I know Gene Hogan is an awesome drummer and deserves all the recognition he gets but I actually think Sean's drumming on Human is even better yet no one really knows of him, sad. When this came out it blew me away with the speed an& aggression I liked with Steve Asheim of Deicide but far more complex.

Today some drummers play faster but are so boring. They do not have the consumed understanding of dynamics Sean has. 300bpm is cool but Mozart didn't care about being the fastest piano player. To this day Sean remains unequalled. I would love that statement to be false for the sake of hearing the next Human but reality shows it is not the case yet, despite hich quality bands around. This also may be due to the fact that there is no next Chuck yet.

Sean Reinert ladies and gentleman a machine with soul, he wasnt listening to metal when he recorded this, he was into Chick Corea and more jazz stuff, one of my 3 top hi tech metal drummers

Damn, will never forget the first time I got this album, my first Death album which is a bit odd as I already had deicide, Morbid Angel, Entombed, Carcass, Cancer, Sadus etc etc...anyways, the DRUMMING! Drumming is big with me and was one of the main draws to more extreme metal than traditional Heavy metal. Drums are far more important with extreme metal as it truly sets the beat but this guy isn't just wicked fast AND precise on the kicks BUT can actually do some intricate stuff upstairs. Until this guy,I am not all that sure if that combination was that common, Lombardo, no doubt a fine drummer and at that time near his prime but Lombardo, despite being famous for his double kicks, had a different, less Death, and frankly much less constant driving double kick bass. Both excellent drummers but one who gets little credit.
