I know YouTube comments is home to the undercover bigots/racist/idiots of the world, but the song is not pro racism. If you have seen enough interviews and been too enough of their shows at that time, you learn that the song has a lot to do with the oddness of white flight sentiment. Growing up, both of them have shared their own love or parents love of soul music and culture, and their own understanding of the fallacy of white nostalgia.
