Then what's this song about? The lyrics "Commandments", "On Your Seventh Day", "Blind Faith" and "To Assume From Ignorance" seems to reference Christianity or other religions.

I watched this with my son when he was about 2-3. When I put it in, he came running over with his red plastic guitar and started rocking out to it. After watching Chuck, he figured out how to move up and down the frets like Chuck did. Then he stopped, grabbed the cat's scratch post with a fuzzy ball at the top, brought it over, and started growling at it like it was the mic. Then he lifts some devil horns and yells "DRINKING MILK"! He called this song "Christmas Mountain" for the longest time.

One day I saw Chuck's name in some guitarists ranking, typed it on youtube and saw crystal mountain solo. I was like 0.0, since then Chuck is my GOD!!!!

Chuck was a master lyric writer, sick ass singer, wicked composer, And quite a damn guitar shredder as well.

@Austin2460 Wrong, Chuck stayed away from religious themes. Remember when he changed the T in the Death logo because it looked too much like an inverted cross? Slayer and every other band beat that lyrical topic to death (ha ha, see what I did there) so he wanted to be different and not reference religion

It's just as incredible that Chuck's band(s) seamlessly keeps up with him! Richard Christy is my favourite Death drummer it would seem. Flawless performance all round.

@TheSonsofHorusx The mountain stands for religious faith and how it is based upon deception and greed.

@InuKiba1 Man, 80's Metallica was GREAT! but the shit Metallica has been doing since the 90's, yes, I rank it among slipknot and that shit.

@pipopower12 ok, jonas brothers and slipknot I understand, but you rank metallica among them??? Ouch man. Hurts me right in the 80's

@CobrazVeNoMx He sounds like he could belong in one of those japanese metal bands where they act formal even with the music they play. It's hard to tell with him though because he was into all that with the first few albums plus they did kinda invent the sub-genre.

As a guitarist, I also rarely use my pinky unless I am playing chords, but this is mostly due to a fracturing my left wrist that never fully healed. Maybe Chuck broke his left wrist when he was younger? Interesting, but the world may never know..

Outta curiosity, how come Chuck never really headbanged? It couldn't be because of that progressing tumor could it?

@KIMbeasly I know he does, but 70-80% of the time he uses a 1-2-3 finger pattern, and the comment was ment to be a little snippity anyway. maybe i shouldnt have said "at all" oh well
