It's funny that one of the best performances of this song was on a random CNBC show

Doesn't sound like there's much, if any effects. He's going through a compressor of some form (either a pedal or in the amp head) and maybe a bit of overdrive to boost the low end.

I've seen him live many many times and I disagree vehemently with that statement.

I know it's been 3 years since my initial comment, but it's a Fender you dipshit. Pause it at 3:00 and you can see the stylized Fender "F." Seeing them live doesn't mean a damn thing, this is a video of a live performance, and for all intents and purposes it serves as a great record of what fucking guitar he was playing that day, and it's a fucking Fender. You're a clown.

You're getting so much shit for asking that question. Your famous. Well more like infamous. We all learned something from this though.

McEnroe's talk show may be a distant memory, but this is still a great song.

@lbraddock44 Codes and Keys isn't anywhere near their earlier stuff lyrically but I think they basically said it wasn't going to be as they were making it. It was more of a musical exploration which comes through in most of the songs, especially st peter's cathedral and unobstructed views.

@YoureTerribl i would not say that "You are a Tourist" is a terrible song, but it seems like their new songs have less heart and meaning behind them. I guess I got spoiled with great songs like "Title and Registration" and "Transatlanticism"
