I sort of wonder if the video -- and the song for that matter -- have something to do with Chris Walla leaving the band.I thought maybe the guy manning the vehicle, hitting him in several attempts, were the members of the band being with Chris until the "windshield broke."Also, the girl at the end, entering the car -- I wonder if it was an indication that he found hisself a lady. And the abrupt ending after she entered the car could correlate with Chris having said in interview "I think I long for the unkown."Just my interpretation -- What's yours? :)

I feel that this song and video is about the feelings hitting ben in the divorce with Zooey 'death upon the vine' and people saying how he is hurt and how much he misses her.Yet it is all an act, an exaggeration from the media and the people behind the newspapers and the TV shows. He just has to prepare for the apparent 'impact' of the lies.Basically, a metaphor for everyone talking about Ben's feelings on his divorce without looking through his eyes.Shes the driver running him over and hes the man who is knocked down. But she didnt drive it and it's all an exaggeration from the media.
