This song helped me cope with the toughest day of my life so far. I discovered this song on a Friday during finals week. I had a final on a course that I only had 9% left to fail in. Meaning that I basically have to ace my final. I was studying so hard for 18 continuous hours. I was dead tired. 6 hours left till my test (i wasn't even half done studying) and my ex girlfriend texts me, we basically broke up that night. I wasn't even hurt until finals were over. I ended up passing the course and this song was playing for about 23 hours on repeat. I am thankful.

Spending a summer alone and listening to dsbm and postrock or shoegaze music, i discovered this gem. it was the summer of 2011. I could never expect that this band, that created this album would eventually end up, playing in my own town, Athens, Greece. I hope theyre playing this song and not some fuck-wealth inspired songs from the latest album. New album imo has a lot of fillers. They may have a certain role, adding to the whole aesthetic of the album, but, guys, they fucking lack the intensity, and that feeling of impending suicide. And doom. God i love this song. Especially the second part. From 03:55 .

Similarities in songs exist all the time, where elements are borrowed but they are not exactly exactly the same thing. However in this case that riff is completely 100 percent stolen. It is undeniably too similar. It doesn't help deafheaven is hailed as an original band when they aren't at all.

mate, music like this has been around for fucking years lol. even way before Lantlos did it. nobody deserves the credit, that's like saying talk talk deserve all the credit for starting post rock. sure a bunch of kids was doing it way before they did.
