Lyrics

Kick it right down

Kick it right down

Kick it right down

Right down

Kick it right down

Kick it right down

Kick it right down

Right down

I've been lyin' here so lonely

I've been wishin' you would telephone me

Oh, I just can't lose this desperation

Won't you bring around a new sensation

Baby, you got lots of energy, yeah

Gonna give that energy to me, yeah

Tell you, we could have a real good time, yeah

Baby, I can make you mine, oh mine, yeah

Oh yeah, oh yeah

Lover, come back to me

You don't have to knock on my door

No

Lover, come back to me

Kick it right down

Kick it right down

Kick it right down

Right down

Baby, all I feel is desperation

And it's not a very nice sensation

I've been wishin' you would telephone me

I've been lyin' here, oh oh, so lonely

Baby, we could have a real good time, yeah

Tell you, I can make you mine, all mine, yeah

Baby, you got lots of energy, yeah

Baby, give that energy to me, yeah

Oh yeah, oh yeah

Lover, come back to me

You don't have to knock on my door

No

Lover, come back to me

Kick it right down

Kick it right down

Kick it right down

Right down

Lover, come back to me

(Oh)

You don't have to knock on my door

No

Lover, come back to me

Kick it right down

Kick it right down

Kick it right down

Right down

I hear you knockin', won't you run on in

(Oh)

I hear you knockin', come back where you've been

I hear you knockin', won't you run on in

(Oh)

I hear you knockin', come back where you've been

Lover, come back to me

You don't have to knock on my door

No

Lover, come back to me

Kick it right down

Kick it right down

Kick it right down

Right down

Lover, come back to me

You don't have to knock on my door

No

Lover, come back to me

Kick it right down

Kick it right down

Kick it right down

Right down

Lover, come back to me

You don't have to knock on my door

No

I love how Pete Burns does not care about his dancing skills, he does what he wants.

For some reason I decided to look up Pete Burns and found out that he had died two years ago! What a shame. Not surprised to see that he finally came out of the closet. I sort of found it amusing when I first discovered DOA that he was married to a woman. That being said I grew up on this music and it's nice to see that It's still as enjoyable to listen to now as it was then. I find most music from British pop groups and DJ's re-listenable. Not something that I can really get from Americans.

that voiceeeee!!!!!!!!!!! electrifying and powerful!!! and that face, why, oh why did you think you needed anything done sir? you were sexy, tall, handsome and talented. that's a package most people could only wish or dream of having! anyways, too late now! Mr. Burns thank you for leaving us memorable songs in the most memorable decade of all, the glorious 80's.

Love the story Boy George told on meeting Pete for the first time in Liverpool. Culture Club had just been on TOTP and George’s rag doll image gotten lots of press. Fast forward to Boy George partying in Liverpool for the first time after hearing it housed a must-see club scene and this one particular fashion store with legendarily acerbic and feared window dresser/salesperson. Apparently Pete, known throughout London and Liverpool clubs for his outrageous costumes (but not yet for his music) minced no words in confronting George. “Are you Boy George? You completely STOLE my look!” George admits there was a bit of truth in that, as Pete’s costumes had often caused a splash at the same clubs where George had hung out. Though they’d never met, George had often seen Pete out and about in 80’s London nightlife.
