I'll be uploading their whole 1980 debut "Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables"

lyrics:

Efficiency and progress is ours once more

Now that we have the Neutron bomb

It's nice and quick and clean and gets things done

Away with excess enemy

But no less value to property

No sense in war but perfect sense at home...

The sun beams down on a brand new day

No more welfare tax to pay

Unsightly slums gone up in flashing light

Jobless millions whisked away

At last we have more room to play

All systems go to kill the poor tonite

Gonna

Kill kill kill

Kill the poor

Kill the poor ...

Tonite

Behold the sparkle of champagne

The crime rate's gone

Feel free again

O' life's a dream with you, Miss Lily White

Jane Fonda on the screen today

Convinced the liberals it's okay

So let's get dressed and dance away the night

While they

Kill the poor

Kill the poor ... Tonite

I'm 23 and I was a really big headed lame ass who dismissed punk music at a young age and now at 23 this music this band just pulls at my heart it took me years to understand punk, but now I get it and it makes me so happy.

I absolutely fell in LOVE with the Dead Kennedy's when i first heard them back in about 1985, i was 15. Everything they said, how they said it & all that they believed in seemed like they stirred up something that was already inside me. They definitely made me more aware of the world outside & made me question things and other people, ya know, like were they exactly what they seemed to be (generally not!). It's stuck with me all my life and their music still grabs me by the heart, I'm now 43 & I still remember all of their lyrics,,,how could you forget! But they definitely changed my life for the better & people who put them down or are offended by them, well I just feel sorry for them really. They just don't, won't or can't understand what is blatantly obvious to us DK's fans. The Dead Kennedy's were inspirational & there will never be another band like them. Long live the DK's & their fans!!!! :)

This is such a great fucking record that most people don't even notice it sounds like it was recorded inside of a coffee can. Now that's badass.
