A friend of mine ran into this on cassette at a thrift store. It just said Dead Can Dance on it and he bought it because of the name alone. Thank you to whoever gave it up to fate because it changed our lives forever. The world of musical possibilities this opens to people who don't know anything outside of contemporary western style music. I had the privilege to see Lisa Gerrard live once and it was other worldly. Like being frozen in time nowhere and witnessing all that has and will exist as a deja vu.

A lot of Turkish music sounds like Arabic music and so the claim is not so outrageous. The horn could very well be a zurna, very common in Turkish music. The vocals hint more at the sounds of Armenian music.

Wow - such gorgeous music. Why do some folks commenting have to insult and belittle each other?

Sorry mam, I am not what you accuse me of being. Is your diaper causing you to be so moody? Are you going to go out and start a rampage shooting or go off on some person in your silly little world whom you think embodies my way of thinking. Look at how you follow you my commentary on youtube. Anyone can see you have such a hate filled old way thinking. I don't take you as a broad minded individual.
