Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, and Rob Bourdon started a band in high school. After that, they began taking their musical interests more seriously, recruiting Joe Hahn, Dave "Phoenix" Farrell, and Mark Wakefield to be in a band called Xero. Wakefield left, and Chester Bennington was recruited into Xero. After a name change to Hybrid Theory, then Linkin Park, they became the band we know today.

theres only to best guys in linkin park. obviously chester bennington and mike shinoda. chester because he has the correct voice for lead singer. mike shinoda because he is a great rapper and he was in the bad before chester. i think mike started the whole thing. whoever has an answer of who else started linkin park let me know. but as far as i know it was started with mike shinoda.

Lp sucks ass now :'( the first two albums and the only songs off thousand suns that are good are given up,bleed it out,and what I've done,I want old Lp back godamnit

@MrBopms it won't. they said in many interviews that they create a new style with their next album. so it will be also different from ATS but not like the old ones ;) let's just wait and see what they are doing :)

@luxlupe it's new while they were making the album i think minutes to midnight(correct if im wrong) they put all the songs that were too dark for LP aside and chester started this band and used those songs.
