One of my students, white, about 20, announced to the class that his favorite line in any movie at any time was, "You ain't nuthin''" and he and I both finished, "without David Ruffin," from the movie about The Temps. I'm white too, a lot older than my student. It's amazing how that group touched everybody--without regard to race or age or anything like that.
