"On the turning away" played by David Gilmour. The song is one of many others included in the "Live in Gdañsk" 5 disc box. Note: this song is not from the concert in Gdañsk, but from one of the other concerts David and his friends had on their tour.

Feauters also a tribute to Richard Wright

Isn't this the only performance this song is played by the Black Strat?

The song is in Venice. It was not supposed to be on the setlist and he decided on the spot to sing it. no one has rehearsed it and even remembered the song. Yes he has forgotten the lyrics...but WHO cares even if he is out of tune, that is guitar is sometimes out of tune, this is David Gilmour and he doesn't have to prove anything to anyone.

When I first listened to this on my 5 disc Gdañsk set, I cried. It is one of my favourite songs. After a few times, I appreciated that David included this version. Anyone can delete a mistake, or take out the song. But he showed his human side, and now I just smile.

Utwór nie pochodzi z koncertu w Gdańsku, jedynie może jest dodatkiem do tegoż koncertu z innego występu Mistrzów

@ridendo2003 Well considering this was the first time he'd played the song in over a decade, I'd say it's pretty good. The solo isn't his best, but cut him some slack. If I remember correctly from the behind the scenes look at this tour, it was rainy and humid that night. If you know anything about the guitar, you'd know that humidity absolutely kills your tuning.

@XxdolanxX123 LOL! No it's not crying, and it's not a tribute. Richard Wright was still alive at the time, and he completely forgets the two lines; it's NOT intentional!

Ten kawałek nie był na playliscie koncertu, gilmour zaśpiewał go pod wpływem chwili i trzeba było ciągnąć dalej :) Zagrany zupełnie bez przygotowania. Miazga

I listen to this because of the laughter, and how he must have smiled at Rick, who was alive at the time. He is amazing, but not perfect. I wouldn't care if his broke voice all through a concert. I would totally pay for it regardless. I never noticed on my gdansk discs that the crowd clapped. Only a TRUE artist, and one that loves Rick Wright would add this to his album.
