I'm gonna get technical here (being a musician and songwriter myself)... I was very happy when I first heard this version because of one very small detail I had always thought should have been on the original version that they added here. That being the addition of a C/E chord just before making the change from C to F. Again, a very small detail (just one note), but I'm the kind of listener that really notices things like that. What I'm talking about is how the bass note on the synth goes to a low E just before switching to F (for example: under the vocals, it would be on the word "burned" from "when I was burned and broken")
