I had the honor of seeing David perform it in person while Adam was still here & it was so beautiful yet I see a difference in it now that he has passed. The way David sings the the last "permanent" is like a scream & pouring out of love & pain & grief. Still absolutely beautiful. What a gift David has given to his brother & so many who are in the same place.

When this song first came out I had no idea how much it would mean to me. On March 21st, 2011 when my dad passed away of Brain Cancer it became all to clear what David was feeling. He's been my favorite artist since American Idol and I can never thank him enough for such beautiful music. <3

If they think Adam is better than David, then why watch this at all? Their tiresome presence on every YouTube upload featuring David makes them HAWKERS of their idol. Posting their favorite's name to puff him up is so irksome. You'd think they'd have the decency to leave Permanent alone. It's a strategy to attract attention. I just don't like Adam's voice, and I say this without prejudice. I heard a song, and I disliked it based on the voice, before I even knew it was Adam. Matter of choice.
