So rare that he did this live, one of the greatest songs ever written. Insanely great!

I think it's so cool that he freely admits he doesn't remember the words

"Lay me place and bake me pie I'm starving for me gravy. Leave my shoes and door unlocked I might just slip away.." (I was swept up by Bowie in 74. This line imo tells you everything you need to know about him)

Its a bit like watching an actor going on stage with his script , he could at least have learned his lines, it sounds like the bewlay brothers just dont feel like it.

If you are a true Bowie fan and know the genesis of the song in all it's torment, gorgeous symbolism and haunting style then you will know that literally everything he ever had to say subsequently has it's roots here.

Real cool rare take...one of my favorites from all my favorite bowie songs...how I wish I´ve could seen this song live performed...would give years of my life for that;-)

The woman screaming out at the end as he does on the album is uncanny, David seemed to end it on that note

Well, here we can see what's real music all about...what's a real singer is all about as well. #PERIOD

When i listen to this wonderful song, i imagine David and Terry playing together or arranging some teenage plot to surprise their parents..."and the Devil may be here but he can sing about dad". ..and i cannot image the pain David felt when Terry died (all of you know how). To me , this song is a flash back to happiness, with the bitter-sweet taste of Terry´s mental condition but David loved him the same, anyway. Perfect performance. Thanks for this treasure, Michaela.
