Such a diverse talent. This song feels like nothing he's ever written. He's singing it so beautifully. I love all the reverb on his voice. So many lost songs after the eighties. Someone needs to collect at least 12 of the best... Bowie forever!

Listen to his 1980 British TV film, 'Baal'. He's singing a lot more traditionally, very Broadway. Also, on his 1976 album, 'Station To Station' he covers a Johnny Mathis film song called 'Wild Is The Wind', which is unargueably his best romantic vocal in his entire recording career. It's the last track. Listen only to the album track!

Having a beautiful voice and looking crazy does not qualify someone as an artist. Much of what Gaga does has already been done by other artists years ago. Her popularity owes to the fact that there are now a lot of people around who aren't aware of it. And if you think she's crazy, well.... Bowie had developed a full history of doing crazier things onstage before she was even born.
