I first saw this song performed on Marc Bolan's TV show, Marc in September 1977. It remains one of Bowie's greatest songs. Bowie had many great guitarists support him over the years but Ronson's contribution will forever remain the greatest. Rock on you Spider From Mars & may you RIP.

Mick Ronson was my favorite guitarist ever. Nothing agains Ian Hunter, though. That's silly. They were close friends working some good magic together.

@MelonHeadFilmz yes you are correct, mick died april 29,1993 just almost one year later, he was very sick during this concert and ian hunter was the only one who knew and promised his old friend he would remain silent, mick did not want any of the spotlight on him during this concert, god i miss him

Mick Ronson died of liver cancer in april 93. Get this months classic rock magazine for a touching article about Mick. Christ he was good and i've never heard a better version of this song, love the battered old telecaster, a real guitarists guitar lol
