This isn't just a song, it's a master of his craft displaying what he's learned over his career. Sadly, it's recorded terribly, so it's a bit hard to make out, but this thing is packed with musical innovation. And the theme of the chorus, can't tell whether that's done with guitar or keyboard, but the melancholy stunning beauty of it. Just breathtaking. The best song Bowie's ever done, IMO. Hands down.I guess it doesn't matter what's said. It moves you or it doesn't. The technical and artistic achievement, however, that can't be denied.

Amazing, the song and video are both 20 years old but you can show them both nowadays and they still look and sound very modern and innovative.

i find it interesting he whips his mouth, at 2.34, its very symbolitic to "Boys keep swinging" video..I read where he dated Transgendered, Romy Haag, She had a Night club in Berlin and would End her Set, by yanking off her wig, and smearing her lipstick in this symbolic gesture , It is noteworthy !.
