I used to hate Black Tie White Noise, I still don't like that weid colaboration between him and Al B Sure in that rap-title track. But some songs like: I Feel Free, Nite Flights, You've Been Around, Jump They Say. They are really great.

Lester Bowie plays the trumpet, it is not his brother. It was his half brother Terry who had schizophrenia and committed suicide, Jump They Say was inspired by his half brother.

I agree BTWN is pure genius and it is criminally underrated. I can understand why though, because it took me a long while before I started to appreciate just how great it is. In the beginning, I thought it was rather disappointing, but it gradually grew on me until it became one of my all-time favourite Bowie albums ever.
