This sounds so much like the Outside album, he knows there's a whole world of fans waiting on Outside II which won't happen but we'll always gets some gems like this. The bass kind of reminds me of "As The World Falls Down". You have just listened to, the greatest rocker in history.

While trying to remember which song on the Next Day reminded me slightly of Labyrinth's score, it hit me: Heat! The sleepy intro, the As the World Falls Down tone to the vocals... mystical.

Awesome song... my favourite tonalities :)... hearing influences from Jerry Goldsmith's Powder theme, Scott Walker and some Terje Rypdal :)... but in the end... it turns out to be something very original :)... it's David Bowie in all his glory !

Can David and Scott just collaborate already? They're not getting any younger.

Thats what I thought- very, very 'Outside' . Which is not a bad thing eh? Some people say he's done nothing good since the 70's - they are really ill-informed.

Why if it inspires the best? :o) Walker is the "finer" artist of the two, Bowie the more commercial, though both are great obviously...

My fave track on the album, but Bowie really needs to stop listening to Scott Walker's Tilt.
