Seeing Dave Wyndorf at a Stooges show in1972 would almost be more amazing than seeing the Stooges in 1972.

New York in the seventies sounds totally amazing, sleazy, dirty, cool and happening. It's like disney world now- interesting but too safe and corporate

i agree with Dave's story & he knows what he talking about 100% when it comes to NYC rock music clubs & the tickets that were very cheap during that era he mentioned. there's hardly any rock venues left around the "city that never sleeps" anymore cause most of them are taken away by the city's legislators for club hoppers to enjoy. though there's one popular venue in the heart of Forty Deuce (42nd street) Time Square which is B.B. Kings i guess...

The epitome of what it truly means to be a rock STAR. Yeah he makes money, but he's not a sellout. His music has changed over the years, not because his audience wanted something else, but because he changed as a person. It's still Monster Magnet.

I'm always hesitant to listen to interviews with rock stars because a couple of times all it did was show me that they can be total idiots and ruin their music for me, but I'm really glad I checked this one out. Dave is wayyyyyy cool. I grew up in the 70's too and remember some of what he's talking about.
