"12-12-12" The Concert for Sandy Relief featured performances from the likes of Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Eddie Vedder, Kanye West, The Who and Paul McCartney. Organized by The Madison Square Garden Company, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment and The Weinstein Company, the benefit raised funds for the Robin Hood Relief Effort, which helps those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Living is strange. We all experience great things, sad things, glorious things and we experience them together. We experience music together. Bands have come on gone over the decades. Band members, for whatever reason, are no longer around and there are those that live a full life. Be happy in the knowledge of having known their music. The loss of Lennon, Hendrix, Morrison, Mama Cass,Holly and so many many more is what brings reality to a surreal world sometimes. Some folks obsess a little too much when it comes to rockers. It's what makes this generation, or rather the last two generations so different from any before it. Lennon and Cobain would be upfront in telling all of you to just live your own lives, do for yourselves and if you can, help out others.Make no mistake, there really isn't a heaven no matter how much you want to believe or how much faith you think you may have. When you're gone..you're gone. However, IF there was a heaven, then the greatest rock n roll band would be living there. Or maybe they would all prefer a more...southern route...it doesn't really matter because we are all here and they aren't.Enjoy your own lives people, and enjoy what YOU do not what others do.
