Dave Edmunds and Nick Lowe's friend Graham Parker wrote this song and the radio stations played his version once in a while. Parker had a great voice and Elvis Costello sounds just like him. Graham is older than Elvis and it is said that Nick Lowe liked and produced Elvis because he sounded like Parker, whom Nick Lowe was already producing. At any rate I think Graham Parker deserves more recognition than he ever received. Probably another case of not looking pretty enough to be The Rock Star.

This came on the car radio when I was behind the wheel in drivers ed in the early '80s. The teacher turned the radio off and said, "no more radio!"

Ah little Englander what's up does nobody love you? You are surrounded by celts and obviously feel threatended by the camaraderie. But fear not we don't hate you we only only feel something about you that you don't understand. I will leave you to ponder what that is, it might make you a better person who does not reply to posts with bitterness and misguided remarks. bhur leas deoch uasail!!
