I like this version better, with Mike Smith's voice, than the Stampeders, who only had a few hits and didn't last very long. Facts: The DC5, in their In eight years sold more than 100 million records and scored 15 consecutive Top 20 U.S. hit singles between forming in 1962 and disbanding in 1970. Unlike the Rolling Stones and the Beatles, The Dave Clark Five (Dave Clark, specifically) owned all rights to their music. Between 1975 and 1993, none of their music was available to be purchased in any commercial format.

that's why DC5 failed ...... too many remakes of songs towards their later tenure ..... and trying to sound exactly like their remakes ..... not a big fan of copying. should have split up much sooner.
