This live version of "Johnny Ace is Dead" was recorded for the upcoming Eleven Eleven Expanded Edition. The expanded edition, out 4.17.12, will include three bonus tracks, "Beautiful City 'Cross the River," "Signal Hill" and "Never Trust A Woman," a live performance DVD, three discs, and a repackaging of the original full-length album, with nearly three hours of music.

If the music of Dave Alvin was erased from my memory, a large part of the music I love would be gone. I just don't hear Dave's music, I feel it. It started for me in 1979 with the Blasters and it continues today. What can I say? I love to hear him play.12 years ago
