MEASURE # 3 AND # 4 !!!! IF YOU CANNOT HEAR THAT HE IS LATE YOU ARE TONE-DEAF AND CLEANING YOUR EARS WONT HELP. LISTEN TO THE ORIGINAL BY CLIFF GULLUP OR BRIAN SETZER*S VERSION. THAT'S HOW IT SHOULD SOUND.

you need to clean your ears or you can't comprehend where the beat is due to the slapback

@oddjobjujitsu yes I know, I 've been listening to this music since late 70's. Gallup is playing it on the beat and so does Setzer and many others it is just Beck who can't keep up with the tempi.

@TheMG63 Yes exactly, and that was the point. If Darrel played lead guitar on these tracks everyone would clearly hear that he was better than Beck.

Jeff Beck shouldn't really play rockabilly. He should leave a lead guitar to Higham who is one great rockabilly lead guitarist. Beck has a hard time to keep in tempo on this one, you can hear he 's too late on the licks.

@BCblaster1 the original Gretsch 6120 chet atkins is orange with western decor, hollowbody 16" width. The later 6120 (90's 2000's) come in different colours.

The guitar Jeff is playing is a Gretsch Duo Jet 1955 6128 with factory fitted Bigsby (nowadays equivalent would be Gretsch G6128DSV with the stationary Bigsby handle and fidelatone/dynasonics pick ups). The orange guitar at the back by an amp is a Gretsch Chet Atkins G6120 (could be original 1955) with Eddie Cochran mods (gold paint scrapped of the back of the pickguard and Gibson P90 neck pick up instead of fidelatone/dynasonic pick up).
