That high pitched sound right in the beginning actually made my ears bleed a little bit

Not as nice as th Pantera version. Which is almost as good as the original. But nice in it's own way.

why all the hate for this cover? yes, the original is better, big surprise...but this is a fantastic cover. the vocals are a bit shaky because it was recorded live on a rooftop in ny city. everyone settle down.

Agreed about Mercury Rev, but check out Blackstone's version of this too. It's hard to find, but one of the best I've heard

We sail through endless skies stars shine like eyes the black night sighs The moon in silver trees falls down in tears light of the night The earth, a purple blaze of sapphire haze in orbit always While down below the trees bathed in cool breeze silver starlight breaks down the night And so we pass on by the crimson eye of great god Mars as we travel the universe

A great shit. Remixing a track is a great thing, but this cover is a mockery! I just don't find anything exciting about it. Sorry, but I prefer the original song instead of this one.

I've heard a ton of covers. This one is good, but I think Mercury Rev has the best version.

Planet Caravan is one of my favourite tracks of all time. And this is a decent version. The voice is just not gelling i think. Nicolas Jaar, i expected some crisper stuff.

Yes, but more clarity and sense of direction than the original? The original was so abstract compared to the rest of Black Sabbaths music that it stood out anyway, but the refinement by Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington really gives it that clear conscious sound. The original is 43 years old, a whole word of technology later and you can easily hear that production on this is superb. ~ ~ A B S O L U T E B L I S S ~ ~ RIP Razzko/Thaya, this one is for you. Goodnight sweet prince.
