Darkest Hour (Guitar Play-Through) - Wasteland video free download

I actually own the guitar used in this video now, and by that I mean I literally bought this exact one on consignment off of Mike Schleibaum from Darkest Hour (I just liked the axe, and was surprised to find who the seller was at the check-out counter at Atomic Music in Beltsville, MD). To clear any ambiguity, it's a Jackson KVMGQ King V. Serial number has been removed (still sticker residue on the head stock posterior) but I would estimate this is a production run from the last year or two since it contains the single-coil tap (silly as it may be for active EMGs) and exact color that is still being manufactured. The scale is 25.5" by my own measurement just now, 24 frets that certainly appear extra jumbo to me. The tone and volume knobs have been replaced (note they are absent in the video) with black after-market ones (typically sold with chrome to match the floyd), so this suggests that the store (or Mike/guitar tech) did some work to make it more sellable. All of this in mind, it was set-up rather well in slightly flat of D-standard with what feel like 11s when I bought it. I speculate the guys only used this guitar for the video due to the Jackson promotion, and that it isn't typically set-up in drop G.

Sorry. I did not like it. It is like I have heard this song 100 times before, even though I haven´t. I was already bored at the first chorus. It is not that bad really, it is just very predictable and generic. Try harder next time. Peace.
