No, I was saying Stanne's vocals on this song sound one-dimensional compared to KD's vocals on the original version. KD's vocal work since the early 80s speaks for itself and shows him to be one of the most creative, versatile and unique voices in metal. Sorry, for the misunderstanding.

If youre saying KD's vocals are one dimensional then you're sadly mistaken. I honestly believe he is probably one of if not the most versatile vocalists in heavy metal. Not only does he have an insane vocal range with his falsetto's but his mid range voice is very melancholy and quasi operatic. On top of that he can do those snarly thrash style of vocals as well as death metal like growls. All that while being able to hit those insanely high notes. Pretty damn impressive if you ask me

But if you like it that's great. Cheers!

Any style of singing or vocalization can be (or become) one-dimensional. For instance, Dio may be a great singer but he sings the same from song to song and therefore comes off as one-dimensional. Quorthon, by contrast, wasn't a good singer but he was able to adapt his voice to the needs of each song that made them distinguishable and unique. As far as Stanne goes, I'm only comparing his performance here to KD's in the original. As such, his vocals definitely sound one-dimensional (and moronic)

The voice of Mikael Stanne is so rich of facets, not only his clear voice, also his growls. By the way, your comment makes as much sense as; "The voice of the singer of Florence And The Machine is one dimensional because she never uses guttural vocals"

The music's great on this MF cover, but the vocals are one-dimensional and moronic, except for the whispering during the cool mellow section.
