As heard in Miller's crossing, I think this is the most passionate and soulful version of the song i've come accross.

I hadn't seen this on youtube in it's entirety without disturbances so it was time it was on here to be enjoyed!

There is simply no better rendition of this song, period. It's the best that has ever been made, the best there is, & the best there ever will be. That's not an opinion; it's an incontestable fact.

You know, I was wondering how on earth this song could be our pseudo national anthem. It seemed so weak and unrepresentative of Northern Ireland, I thought perhaps The Minstrel Boy might be a better choice given that we have a past of strife and conflict. But this rendition is so incredible compared to all the other versions that I've heard, it might just have changed my mind.
