@KHouser. A person does not spend thousands of dollars on legal fees for many years (documented) because they *think* they wrote a song. It is common knowledge how crooked the music business is, and was at its peak in the 50's.

It was *lifted* by Hazel Houser and Chester Smith in 1954!

It is unfortunate and inappropriate that certain people have chosen to use the comments section of this video as a battleground to post non sequitars and outlandish false statements about my song. I contributed to this uncouth activity myself with rebuttals, simply because I could not restrain from speaking the truth after suffering for almost sixty years. My apology to the uploader. I was advised by my attorney to delete my comments (which I did) and not participate in this kind of drama.

Danny, your accent disappears on this performance, and in fact somewhat resembled an Everly (Don & Phil) or Travis (Merle), or any number of others from Muhlenburg County, Kentucky, including my Pappaw Gilbert. ('Course, most o' those families brought an Irish dialect with 'em across the big pond, & through the Cumberland Gap...) Was it recorded in Nashville? Sounds so... & if not, that's a compliment to the tracking team- pickers & engineer as well.

My daddy sang this song to me when I was a little girl. I said " Why do you want Jesus to wait daddy." Daddy told me there was more to be saved before Jesus came back. I cry every time I hear this song. I think how daddy loved JEsus. Daddy went on in 99. I am preparing to see him again. Now I sing WAIT A LITTLE PLEASE JESUS, THERES SO MANY WONDERING OUT IN SIN.

Wait a Little Longer Please Jesus was written by Hazel Houser, my grandmother. This song was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, as it shows the hard work she poured into the song while growing up and singing in church! My grandma has also written numerous other songs that are all under contract with record labels. Ms. Sheppard, I would ask you respectfully to not post anymore comments towards this song, you are incorrect and being disrespectful to the Houser family! Thank-you!
