I caught on to Dan with the Innocent Age album (1981). His talents and messages struck me deep. I saw him in concert several times. IMHO, his best performance was at the Grove in Anaheim (It had a different name when I saw him then). Maybe 2500 people max. I had front row seats. Of all the albums I have, I.A. is still the best. Call me wacky, but I still listen to his songs regularly. I never get tired of them. This song is one of my top 5 of his collection. Thank you Dan and Emmy Lou. Those in the know will never forget you.

I also learned of Dan at a record store. I was an employee at "Peaches" in 75-76. Each employee took turns putting on a album that played in the store. Simply for the cover, I picked Captured Angel because I was curious who the artist was. I was 23 then and am 61 now. I've loved his music and bought everything he recorded since then. Thanks for the memory Aegis.

I have a lot of music heros and heroines - Dan sadly has passed without me seeing him but we had the pleasure just before Christmas of the very talented Emmy Lou in New Zealand. She has to be one of the greatest talented duetists - and that is perhaps a greater skill than singing solo . I love this song

Spanish duo Sergio and Estibaliz did a cover of this around 1987. I have yet to find that version anywhere. I like this one though.

I only learned of Dan as early as I did, because one of his albums was playing at an independent record store, and the guys there introduced me to his music after I stopped dead in my tracks and asked about the music they were playing that day, which was the album "Souvenirs."
