came here at the recommendation of Nerdist...needless to say thats the last recommendation I take from them. Theres a fine line between pretentious, obscure, is-this-really-music? styled music that pushes the fabric of what can be really called music. Then there's making 600 hour movies of nothing but a 20 minute film loop and calling it art pretentious. This isn't the first one gents. The song itself is ok, but nothing special or anything that really makes it stand out. even the video isn't that amazing. With instrumental techno/edm/whatever, they're always creative music videos (Aphex Twin, Dada Life, Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers, even Skrillex) because they cant just have a video of a guy dicking around creating the tracks, and preforming it live is more about how stupid and carried away the drugged up crowd is. they have to be unusual and out there to advertise the music and show some creativity from the artist. with this, it just feels like something a hipster would pass as an art project and tell everyone they "just dont get it" when he fails.

Too much "art class project" for my taste. This is the very definition of the word pretentious in my book. I didn't dislike the song though, it was just hard to focus on it when the video demanded so much of my attention. That makes it a bad music video if you ask me...But hey, if you are artsy enough then maybe you'll like it. I just didn't buy the concept. Peace.
