@IFINEVERSING I hope Shirley will for the 2012 Olympics. I want to see Shirley perform more often then what she's been doing lately but some Shirley is better than none.

@MusicLoverBrian1 All being well I think she will appear for the olympics in 2012 also it is the Queens Diamond Jubilee and Shirley`s in 2013. On current form it will be possible.

@IFINEVERSING As many times as I have heard Shirley sing "Something" I NEVER get tired of it! She has that gift to sustain a song and keep it going successfully without it getting old and stale. Shirley is defintely SOMETHING! I have seen her performance of "Something" on the Beatles 10/28/10 Tribute and she is just . . . . . gosh that performance left me breathless. Shirley STILL gots it after all these years! This woman is AMAZING!

@MusicLoverBrian1 Well said, but also to sustain a song... listen on here to `something` 1971 Royal Variety show the night which sealed my admiration all those years ago.... and to `something` on her beatles phiharmonic tribute 28/10/2010

@IFINEVERSING Shirley Bassey is truly a GENIUS at taking a song that is a hit and making it her own and not only that but making her own HIT with it. She is indeed an ARTIST--she is more than just a singer. It's not easy to take a song that is sung by a popular singer or singers like The Beatles and making it better than or just as good as the original. Not everyone can do that . . . . not everyone has that gift but Dame Shirley does. I don't want to hear anyone else singer Eleanor Rigby now

Shirley gives a whole new bluesy slant to this beatles classic, it takes an artist to reinterpret ............. the rest just copy
