Did they actually rehearse this? The strings and woodwinds are never together, the harp has yet a third tempo, and the Dalila seems to want very different phrasings, tempi and rubati than the conductor. These are things that needed to be worked out in piano rehearsals, Sitzproben and stage rehearsals with orchestra. A pity, because the singing itself is actually quite good.

Barbara often makes an appearance at the week-long summer vocal intensives presented by her voice teacher (and mine!), Dr. Michael K. Warren of NYC. She's quite a lovely and encouraging person, and I'm blessed by God that I've met both her and Mike.

It's been almost 10 years now that I have had the pleasure of meeting Barbara Dever, and for directing me to her wonderful teacher Dr. Michael Warren in NYC. Finally, I got to hear and see the voice with the Deliah picture that adorned the program in first hearing her at the Sacred Heart Church in Camden. Thanks too, Marie H for introducing me to her and traveling to the Met to see her in Il Trovatore. You're a wonderful lady Barbara!

i took the video of Barbara and Shauna from Christmas Eve, i can't wait for Shauna to sing at my wedding! Barbara is such a sweet woman and its been so cool to see her sing all my life in Camden

Recuerdo mucho esta representación por que no encontre boletos para la función con el Sr. Domingo, sin embargo, la Sra. Dever estuvo mucho mejor en las funciones que dió junto al desaparecido Carlos Cossuta.
