Loved the new musical direction, but if I were Jamiroquai I'd be fuming. Rock Dust Light Star didn't do too well and if they saw people are going CRAZY over these disco/funk tunes, I'd be really pissed. RAM is basically Jamiroquai music (not so acid jazz) with a very post-modern touch (i.e. some robotic vocals). But I gotta hand it to Daft Punk, they did it better than Jamiroquai - and even more remarkable that the genre was supposed to be latter's forte.

I'm gonna make lots of mashups once I figure out how to use my Audasity and get a YouTube account, and I can envision this in a mashup with MJ's Hollywood Tonight. Yes, I know it's part of the controvrsial Michael album, controversial because Michael wouldn't have wanted his unfinished new songs to be altered around without him like those producers did, but I really, truly, honestly believe he would've adored that great song of his with this hands-down fucking AWESOME track by Daft Punk, with it's smooth funk rhythms and catchy beat, not to mention their boss robot voices. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind about that. I honestly don't know why he nor they ever took the once-in-a-lifetime chance to collaborate, or at least I've never heard anything about that as an avid, hardcore, ardent and euphoric fan of both of them such as myself. The three of them would've made some beautiful musical magic together. (Sigh) One fan can only dream I guess. :(
