some people prefer longer drawn out mixes with smoother transitions you know. cant really do that with most radio edits of songs.

Yeah and part of his own spin is to make it suitable for his djing environment. And yeah I agree, his edits are great :)

He's edited it to put his own spin on it.... emphasizing the Nile Rodgers riff- it will be awesome when it's finished.

I don't know what clubs you're talking about, but standard techno/house clubs where Wilson and his type play at usually play tunes that exceed 4 minutes. 7 minutes is an ideal time for mixing house music. It's not that a good dj needs more time, it fits the style better and soudns smoother. If anything having a longer mix makes it more useful (not easier) for mixing cdjs and vinyl, ableton is reserved for those who tend to mix songs with short intros/outros. Greg has been djing since the 80s

You shouldn't have to make a song easier for mixing at night clubs. A good DJ could play the shit out of the original and they DO! It's called live mixing. Only some loser on a Mac would need an "easier mix." This is shit. It just doesn't flow right. It's jittery and repetitive not really club material.

Skill isn't the reason for the edit, functionality is. He's edited this one to be easier for mixing at night clubs. The original song is edited in a radio-friendly way, this version makes the sections longer and more even.

What a shit edit. Pretty much leaves out the soul of the original.

Almost all GW's edits are awesome... Definitely not this one. Just looping shouldn't be named an edit.

What a brilliant part of the tapestry of this Daft Punk track story. Greg Wilson, a true piece of house / disco / electro history gets his mits on a snide version and cuts his own version which is as different and as brilliant as the original. A band paying homage to the true roots of whatever this this is called dance being taken apart and put together by someone who personifies the spirit of whatever this scene ever was. Brilliant..
